when the gay fad from 2010 defies time and space to make insipid comments on contemporary politics
seriously who the fuck is still buying the le vulgar word combination game?
Most overrated game I’ve ever played. It’s for drunk and or stupid people that don’t realize the results of the game are completely arbitrary.
The two times I’ve played it I always felt dirty afterwards. Not because of the vulgarity but because there’s no point to the game. I’d rather play Monopoly and I truly truly loathe that game.
It was for college age people from the early 2010s to impose vulgarity on their boomer parents, kind of like Steve Harvey's schtick where he acts floored every time there's a suggestive answer in Family Feud.
Read a post a while ago that accurately described CAH, now I can't find it but I'll do my best to recall and paraphrase.
It's also a way for the progressive socially inept to ape normal human interaction. Groups of friends generally push boundaries and make off-color jokes with each other regularly. Subscribers to lib ideology are completely incapable of doing this, else they'd be excommunicated. However, the game allows them to be transgressive and edgy, if only for a few minutes. It simulates between strangers and acquaintances the sort of irreverent banter between true friends that they will never be able to have
This is good analysis. It's sort of like drinking card games that are ubiquitous and rampant in college. It allows young adults to push past prior reservations against drinking alcohol--places the locus of control outside of themselves, leaving them blameless. It's not "I choose to drink," it's "Oops, the rules of the game says I have to drink!"
Same mechanism as you described for wokesters. It's not "I choose to say edgy things that may be unacceptable to the liberal hivemind," it's "Oh noes! These silly cards just happen to be referencing FBI crime statistics not my fault!"
so... you're saying its like that Star Trek episode with Landru where the oppressed and totally controlled society had a night of Festival? :D
