Look, I don't really think the idea of "oh, Trump can't win, they aren't scared of him, he's a shill, he won't do anything" is clearly not the case here.
I really don't think Trump is going to do pretty much anything but get vengeance for shit like this. Really. Trump is not the type of guy who seems like he will just turn the other cheek.
You don't pull this shit unless they are deathly afraid of him getting back into power. They obviously hate him and are willing to at least break the law to stop him, but there has to be a reason. Trump could be easily bought off, but they didn't and they keep digging their own hole here.
I'm starting to think that when Trump wins in 2024, before he can fire 50,000 federal employees, we're going to look at DC basically evacuating with all of our money. I think it might turn into a ghost town.
The trump shill shit is a propaganda campaign imo.
So is the "only DeSantis would win" crowd.
I get the distinct feeling there are a fair few number of people who are subversives attempting to pander, but are really trying to steer forums like ours in specific directions, either by impersonating the alt-right, or impersonating MAGA, while either legitimizing neo-liberal narratives, or advocating neo-liberal stereotypes.
Yep.
Even if I wasn’t suspicious that DeSantis is secretly stinky, I want Trump because thats who we fucking elected already.
It’s so cucked to just throw in the towel and give up on our elected president because it got stolen.
I'd be more tolerant of the argument if it were solely based on age. But the reality is Trump has a ton of momentum and it's because of the voter fraud issue, and his incumbency, and people remember how it was better when he was in.
The biggest danger to DeSantis is strategic. If he got distracted and greedy and tried to run against Trump in the primary, he would weaken the political infrastructure of Florida (which he's still trying to secure by clearing out the AG, fixing the Boward County BoE, and solidifying his political capital) by leaving it to someone even less experienced than him. If he lost, the damage could cost him his career and then Florida.
It's really the worst possible decision.
