Yes, technically people would probably look at you funny if you started ranting about a global cabal of gays or Buddhists that were running the world for their benefit, but they probably wouldn't just assume that you're Hitler.

I think Jews are more sensitive about it, because "Jews control the world" as specified in the forged Protocols has long been used as a reason to attack and persecute them.

If someone said that Buddhists control the world, I'd call him a crazy. If someone said that about white men, I'd think he's a crazy bigot.
