One thing I've imagined is the possibility that the average employee has become less productive, meaning businesses need more people. Boomers are retiring or dying, and the generations after them have been fed more and more irrelevant BS in their education that makes for less skilled adults. Plus, the whole coddling for every sensitivity and decreased work ethic stuff.
