That's the exact opposite of reality. They would rather run against DeSantis because they know that Trump will actually do real damage to them. The absolute stupidity of claiming that getting Fox news to support DeSantis hurts DeSantis is fucking laughable. Most of the right still watches and supports Fox News. GB News, Newsmax, and others are still struggling to gain the attention of traditional conservatives.
