Not that they care at this point but making Obi-Wan anything other then straight makes some scenes very awkward both with Luke and Anakin.

People were already making the jokes that Anakin slaughtered the Jedi and joined Palpatine because they molested him as a kid. But sure making Obi-Wan an alphabet person will surely stop those jokes.
