Literally the only purpose of being a cop in a democrat city is if you are working for a drug boss and arresting his rivals.

Any actual police work that puts you in contact with non-greenlit criminals will just get you fired and possibly jailed.

Odds are what they did was purge the police of the good cops, and replaced them all with corrupt ones.
