Tucker's primary target is actually the elites, not the common man.
His attacks are primarily directed at, and for the purposes of waking up, upper-class institutional types living in Arlington, VA.
NO ONE making under $250,000 a year is watching LotusEaters, Academic Agent, Tim Pool, Eric July, Adam Smith, Nick Fuentez, or anyone we know. They might have heard of Ben Shapiro, but have never heard of Matt Walsh. They are watching exclusively institutional Leftists. The most far-right person they know is Tucker Carlson, followed by George Will. They probably think Clarence Thomas is a White Supremacist, and they know this because they are familiar with staunch conservative media like: The Nation, and Reason. They think that David Koch and George Soros working together is a good thing that will bring about political stability. They literally can't imagine how even 1 person voted for Donald Trump, and they thought Jeb Bush was going to be the real conservative change that this country needed in 2016.
I don't live next to these people, but I live next to "conservative" upper middle-class neo-con captivated midwits who literally vote every year to increase my property tax to put more funding into public schooling, and despite being almost entirely Republican, they didn't elect anyone to the school board who would rescind mask mandates. They are the less wealthy version of whom I'm talking about.
I fucking despise these people.
Unfortunately, these are the type of people that Tucker is actually targeting. He's desperately trying to beat into their heads that the Neo-Conservative agenda of being the militant wing of Neo-Liberalism / Fabian Socialism is fully fucking without support of the general population, and no, John Kasich will not save the Republican party. These are the Republicans reluctantly voted Trump in 2016 and 2020, if they didn't just stay home altogether. Tucker's purpose is to show that the entire Fabian perspective on the world that these """"conservatives"""" adopted is complete bullshit, and they need to reconsider their entire worldview.
He's putting chinks in their mental armor, and he has to do it by going to where these people already are. And yeah, these """conservatives""" are balls-on-chin deep in establishment media.

My in-laws believe themselves to be Conservative Republicans because they read Peggy Noonan in the Wall Street Journal.
"That Mitt Romney. He's a fine upstanding fellow who will bring Conservatives together."
"I can't believe that Orange idiot said bad things on the Twitter machine that upset Don Lemon! What kind of un-presidential buffoon would do that!"
"It's ridiculous how we're treating our NATO allies :( "
