Lithuanian politicians could show their population "ROAR we are big, we show the Russian bear who is boss!"
They had 1-2 weeks of fame.
Then everyone told them to stfu, because they are irrelevant. Germany gets the rep to have prevented an escalation there and Russia is happy to have shown everyone they get their people supplied.

Win for everyone, no one really cares.
