Ten years ago none of the woke shit was appropriate for America, but it didn't stop them then. There is no "appropriate," to these people, there is only power. Don't let them pretend otherwise. Appropriate to them is whatever they have the power to push, and inappropriate is whatever they personally dislike. The preferences of the host country don't enter into it.
When someone else pushes politics it's disrespectful, when they push politics it's "necessary conversations."
of course its about the power. Thats why they also tried to get the devs to change the Japanese version too.
