It boggles my mind that with the great source material provided in the silver and Bronze Age they jumped to the all new all different characters that don’t sell and with all the great characters why do a Madam Web origin. Granted with good writing it could work like it did with making Iron Man popular with the public but I don’t trust modern day writers.

Iron Man was always popular. Not the A-lister he was turned into with Downey Jr., but even in 1994 he was high enough up there to warrant his own cartoon series for two seasons.
True. I meant more for the normies. I remember being surprised that ppl hadn’t heard of him. But with good writing you could take a character that isn’t well known like Dakota North (female private eye that was good in comics) and make a good movie or show but current year writing is all about the message
So that’s why my Spider-Man comics with Kraven have been going up. Yea why Sony does a Spider-Man story without Spider-Man is beyond me. Like Carnage. That could be a great adaptation but you kinda need Spidey.
