Don't need to go fancy, I used to bring the following for years as a work lunch
Buy Costco frozen vegetables (I used their stir fry mix; whatever your preference is would work)
Buy a protein (I'd get like buffalo wings or chicken tendies or something like that. If you have a restaurant supply store nearby they have all sorts of frozen foods that would also work)
Put both in your tupperware and top the vegetables with spaghetti sauce as a seasoning. At lunchtime throw in the microwave for a few minutes until everything steams.
Is it the best meal you've ever eaten? No. Is it the cheapest? No, but it's cheaper and healthier than the pre-made frozen meals you get. Probably more filling too since you control the portions. And easy to throw a bunch together on a Sunday provided you have the containers and the food.
I bought and vacuum sealed like 50 pounds of it back in 2020 as a "strategic reserve", and with each passing day I'm more glad I did.
Green split peas + ground beef + seasonings is a damn fine meal, and nutritious too. Arguably better with bacon, but ground beef is a good substitute.

Not always, but very, very, disturbingly, did I mention very, often.
