Democrats don't hate republicans, democrats hate a bogeyman, a caricature that only exists in their own mind. And the reason they believe that caricature is, that deep down they would do all the things they accuse their enemy of, if they had the power. It's pure projection.

Meanwhile, conservatives use all factors about equally (the others being authority, purity, and loyalty. He also showed that conservatives were better able to understand the viewpoint of liberals, since they use shared foundations, while liberals had trouble understanding conservatives because they involved foundations not shared.
