Just want until $6 a gallon diesel is priced into everything. You thought inflation was bad before. My house uses heating oil for heat, and I am not looking forward to north of $6 a gallon heating oil prices next winter.
Because the US economy is now built on cheap credit, if the Federal Reserve hikes interest rates like they know they need to do (but are afraid to do,) you are going to see an economic dislocation worse than the 1929 Great Depression. In the 1979-1982 stagflation era, Volkner had to jack the prime rate up to 20% to get inflation under control. Current inflation is worse now than it was back then, if you measure it like they did back then.
