Cops could be ordered to enforce any policy and that policy doesn't actually have to be legal- allowing damage to be done before courts resolve it.

Also, remember, you're paying to defend the cops from your own accusations of wrongdoing.

Taxation is theft, and creates very unhealthy systems due to the surrounding coercion. They didn't have to earn that money they stole from you, so they're under no incentive to spend it sensibly or responsibly.
