The framers never conceived of the idea that people would murder babies on a mass scale. They also explicitly said that liberty afforded by the constitution could only exist in a Christian nation. The only constitutional position is that the unborn are already covered as persons, people, etc under murder laws, and that any deviation is unfairly targeting a minority group under civil rights law.
