Here's another thing - women were busy honing their skills at these tactics in their peer groups for years while you were busy honing your hand-eye coordination and competitive spirit in games or sports (assuming you are a man and had normal teenage male hobbies). They are always going to be better at it than most men.
Men need to play to their strengths - which involves building competence hierarchies in disciplines that have concrete real world effects - instead of engaging in female-style social competition.
Sure, I accept that it can be a useful tactic on some occasions. But I still stand by my point that it's making the world more feminised, which I believe is the primary reason we are at this point. Gone is the world where reality matters, and enter the world where only feelings matter.
