Maybe you confused Chechens with Buryats. Hundreds of them have been killed and there are only half million Buryats.

They portray the Buryats as Mongols, and I fact the Buryats are Mongols.

South Koreans also have traumatic historical experiences with the Mongols.

(Mongolia doesn't care and celebrates Genghis Khan as the greatest national hero.)
