I tried to read Delaney's Dhalgren, which is one of those books that received a bunch of awards but no one in sci fi fandom ever seems to actually talk about.

50 pages in and I'm waiting for anything meaningful to happen. The book is about a homosexual predator literally wearing leather biker outfit.

Explains a lot once you realize that all these awards are given to these gay / black authors regardless of actual merit
