I still personally find it is still ass.
I use it as my primary, but it often doesn't have a single result close to my query. It also seems to give up after suggesting only one page of results.
I'm still supporting it. But I'm also routinely having to use an alternative after it fails to even come close to satisfying any query with any nuance.
I use it as my main as well, and I don't have any major issues with it. Minor ones though, sure.
Brave search is suffering issues from taking results downstream from other search engines though.
Brave Search uses their own engine to 90%. They bought Tailcat just for that. The other 10% is bing, but it's used as a last fallback resort. There are no other search engines involved.
