The reason there aren't many is because escapism and even the concept of "entertainment" itself is, at its base level, an extension of childhood. It embodies the "liberal" ethos that reality itself is something "oppressive" and the womanly behavior of avoiding problems by distracting herself.
All true, but escapism/entertainment is subtly and importantly different than art in that art must also communicate some kind of meaning.
This is the essential function of art and the reason it has persisted through human history as parables, rallying symbols, mythology, and foundational culture. Practical hobbies and pursuits develop the "how" of civilization, but have no contribution to the "why." To dismiss the importance of aesthetic expression is to impose a kind of self-isolating materialism on oneself, which is ultimately hypocritical anyway because no one can truly divorce themselves from the influence of art. We see how things have worked out when conservatives have surrendered the entire field.
"Childish things" and wastes of time definitely exist: the frivolity, repetition, and exploitation that characterizes a lot of shows, books, and fandoms. Needless to say, no matter how technically well done, pr0n is never art and is ultimately negative.
