Apparently this was in protest of a uniform enforcement blitz that the school did the day before, where students were pulled out of class if they were wearing shorts or if their skirts were too short. The protest organizers claim mostly girls were targeted, which could be bullshit, or it could be that teenage girls these days will take any excuse to wear next to nothing, whether it's to school or work.
The protest was supposed to be confined to the lawn across the street from the school, but this kid and some others apparently kept crossing the street and protesting on school property. Police say they only arrested him after he was repeatedly warned to stay off of school grounds. Some reports even say that he wasn't actually a student at this particular school. Reports also say that he was later released with no charges.
I'm not generally inclined to defend Ottawa police, but overall, this appears to be pretty much justified and proportional.
Exactly. A 16-year-old doesn't get to show up at school in an outfit that belongs on the beach and then complain about "sexual harrassment" when a responsible adult tells her to wear a dress that goes down to the knee. That's the polar opposite of sexual harrassment: those rules are in place to protect the kids, and if they're too dumb to understand that, it's only more evidence that the rules are necessary.

Literally trusting media that was subsidized by Trudeau. Literally - lmao

Never trust a teenager to not be in the wrong. They're like wrongness machines, constantly producing incorrect opinions and making horrible decisions.
They're one of very few demographics I trust even less than Canadian cops.

As opposed to trusting a bunch of teenagers throwing a temper tantrum because they were told they can't attend school dressed like hookers.
They should be allowed to protest even for stupid reasons, roflmao
you werent a genius at that age.
They were allowed to protest. This arrest was for trespassing.
