Even without the gay factor, modern heroes are so one dimensional and boring that honestly I'd much rather be a villain anyway. I can deliver thought-provoking monologues that make the audience wonder who the real bad guy is: me, or society?

And then I'll die some wacky ironic death like being turned into ice cream or some weird shit.
