It's important to note that there were probably only ever 100-200 thousand (at the very most) "full-blood" Aboriginals living on this goddamn continent, even before "Whitey" arrived...
What this means is, inherently (given that there are, now, something like 750,000 people "identifying as" Aboriginal, vis a vis the 50k "full bloods" that remain, lol), if "pureblood" Aboriginals were to "go extinct", it would be from out-marriage, and leaving their tribal shitholes for better lives. Which, I think, bears some ironic similarity to the situation of "your" natives, only... There are a lot less Abbos, numerically (and probably proportionally), hardly any purebloods remaining, AND, importantly, what purebloods there are, live in such squalor that it is, ironically, worse than what I have seen of "the worst" Indian reservation in the US...

It's very fucking sad, IMHO. And all of these "quadroon", "octeroon", etc, activists who live middle class lives, in the cities, are University educated, and yet can still claim all sorts of benefits do not help the situation in ANY way, and, I would argue, make it so much worse, sadly...
