You think the game being made, and selling moderately well, and playing it is a waste of time, and does nothing in the culture war. I’ve already said at the very fucking beginning that I think that’s wrong. As if making a successful entertainment product is somehow losing or not involved. Money spent on that game is money that was not being given to Hollywood or some other major leftist outlet. Does it appeal to leftist? No, but nothing short of Marx, Mao, or grooming children appeals to them. Providing a means of entertainment for the right is a step in the culture war. And by the nature of the subject matter may appeal to edgey teens who do not have a political world view, but makes their pearl clutching parents or teachers upset.
The idea that somehow making a product in the entertainment space is doing nothing and is not involved in the culture war is so stupid. This isn’t going to take the world by storm like super Mario brothers did in the 80s, but it’s a start and probably not the last game the dev is ever going to make. Needing my first comment expanded upon for you and explained how it responds to your first point says a lot more about your comprehension than mine.
Steam is happy to run all the liberal hollywood propaganda constantly. It's not a bastion of right-wing content. It's very left wing in general.
Any dollar spent on this game is a dollar not spent on kith and kin. Giving money to some unknown international game developer is globalism in a nutshell.
Who said steam was a bastion of right wing content. As long as a platform enforces it’s rules equally to everyone it should not matter.
Your right it’s not money spent on kith and kin. It’s money spent for the enjoyment of the buyer, which is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
So you are supporting globalism by using whatever device you are on since most of the raw materials were mined and probably are only found in a country different than your own?
There is nothing wrong with buying foreign made goods. The issue is when big businesses and government pass laws in favor of multi national corporations that stamp out the local businesses. Can you point to the small time dev that is getting unfairly treated by their government because this guy gets special treatment?
By your logic the spice trade or buying bananas or coffee is globalism despite the fact most countries physically can not support those industries. But because they sell internationally they must be globalist.
Trading bananas and coffee is globalism. Most countries cannot support them and they shouldn't be mass importing them so every super market in the world has the same selection of same international items. Support local, grow local and eat local. Don't kill a sheep in New Zealand then send it to five different countries who already raise their own lambs.
What is my point?
You've talked past it this entire comment chain.
