It’s very good. No woke retardation whatsoever, unapologetically masculine, great visuals, appropriate casting.
Director Robert Eggers is, by all accounts, a typical Hollywood lefty - but he has now made three straight good movies with all-white casts. Pretty miraculous, although it clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed this time around.
I’m curious to see how badly he folds on his next projective. Will he make another white period piece and just shove in black actors? Or will he attempt a black period piece and get raked over the coals for appropriation?
Wouldn’t it be something if he ignores all that shit and simply continues making good movies with white peoples?
You'll enjoy it! It kinda drags around the half way mark but the movie actually goes by relatively quick. I was impressed by the historical accuracy and the story wasn't overly complex, it kept it to the scale and scope it needed to be.

Thanks, I will check it out.
