Jokes aside, I don't mean for minor transgressions like being late to a meeting or forgetting to call. I mean it in the way religious people use it, the idea that forgiving your enemy is virtuous.
Forgiving your enemy is a weakness.
Wasn't he betrayed? Kind of proves my point there.
My problem with forgiveness is that our opponents specialize in subterfuge. They lie, they pretend to believe things they don't and it's all okay because it's for their cause.
A fake surrender in a real war is a war crime, but in a culture war it's an obvious and widely used tactic.
Even after/if we win, I still wouldn't forgive them, because they'll destroy us from within again.
