I'm hoping someone digs through and puts together the rate of of food processing plant fires over the past five years or so. I'm really curious if this is actually an increase, or if before the supply chain issues it was only really reported on by local news.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was the result of some sort of sabotage by domestic or foreign actors. But that needs some evidence that this is actually a significant increase from earlier numbers.

From my Google searches and some comments on the other thread here, it looks like prior to 2020, the average was one and change per year.
