It's far more foundational than science. Man and woman, boy and girl are forms. Like a circle and a square, people don't need to be taught what they are, but rather are simply taught the words that represent the forms. My dog can recognize the forms of man and woman, even if he lacks the ability to understand or communicate the concept. To deny their existence is to detach from reality so completely that reason becomes impossible and evil inevitable.
