The ship was supposed to be 100nm out of Egypt and Israeli coast. It was 25nm. when the planes flew by, they had a drill in which the machine guns were manned. And for a pilot seeing that, it must have meant an enemy ship. Egypt were also known to camouflage their ships. Plus, no IFF like we have today. The ship was also sent information to stay away. So Israel actively and purposefully began attacking it thinking it was Egyptian.

Israel has apologized and paid massive amount of reparations. Only people who are into demonization of a country and grifters are still trying to milk this. It is like beating a dead horse over and over, and this will never stop.

Claim checks out.

The United States has finalized a $38 billion package of military aid for Israel over the next 10 years, the largest of its kind ever, and the two allies plan to sign the agreement on Wednesday, American and Israeli officials said.

So inflation adjusted about $40 million compared to $38 billion, almost 1000x times more. Uh, guess we're even?

America is just making sure no more genocide happens. After all, Israel is surrounded by people that hates them. Besides, it is a way for America to help its industry without upkeep. Did you know the money given can ONLY be used on American equipment? Yes, that means, after buying that US$110 million fighter jet, Israel has also to pay million for the upkeep. Which goes directly to America... again.

Because if Israel really wanted a "False" flag, they would have picked more targets and made sure everyone died. America would also have made sure of it. It does not help having survivors to say who attacked them.

The torpedo boats then closed in and strafed the ship's hull with their cannons and machine guns.[citation needed] According to some crewmen, the torpedo boats fired at damage control parties and sailors preparing life rafts for launch. (See disputed details below.) A life raft which floated from the ship was picked up by T-203 and found to bear US Navy markings. T-204 then circled Liberty, and Oren spotted the designation GTR-5, but saw no flag.[citation needed] It took until 3:30 pm to establish the ship's identity. Shortly before the Liberty's identity was confirmed, the Saratoga launched eight aircraft armed with conventional weapons towards Liberty. After the ship's identity was confirmed, the General Staff was notified and an apology was sent to naval attaché Castle. The aircraft approaching Liberty were recalled to the Saratoga.
