Whatever even is the fourth flag here? It only reminds me of the Aldi stores

I like how having such a successful increase in demand that you start purchasing buildings all over the country in local communities to sell to a niche market is considered "temporarily" successful.
No, that's actually considered, wildly successful you fucking idiot. Also, what do you think is easier, going to a place that literally sells to your niche market, or ordering your comic books from mail orders in other comics and purchasing them through catalogs and subscriptions?
Making stores isn't hiding anything, in fact, it's a demonstration of the market becoming so mainstream that you can sell your wares next to the grocery store or your fucking Pottery Barn.
In fact, what we have seen is blowback from Leftists taking over the comic industry and driving it into the ground, which is causing those comic stores to fucking close altogether, or for them to change to a different part of the nerd market: like selling board games or arts/crafts which are more profitable. The "progress" that the idiot author wants to praise is literally killing the comic book industry off in a way that shouldn't even be possible.
The problem at hand is the open hatred and maliciousness of creators in the comic book industry towards consumers, along with their political lecturing, which has made young people avoid low quality garbage like the plague, and made older people stop purchasing altogether.
Daily reminder that a single manga sold more than the entire US Comic market (Marvel, DC, Indie) put together. And that this is used by some comics authors to show that there is insane demand for comics. In other news, comic makers driving up prices due to overuse of copium reserves.
There's demand for comics, just none of theirs.
No bro, you dont understand bro! The demand for manga is so high, that it will sell out, and since people still want comics they will just buy the American ones! So that is how it helps us in the comic industry bro!
(this is not a meme, one of the comic writers actually argued this)
