Yep. EU's rotten-- fully committed to socialist redistribution, second only to making itself into a federal government by subverting the nations within it.

US has been going downhill since FDR's new deal grafted socialist systems into the republic. Arguably longer, if you want to count the consolidation of federal power over the states, under Lincoln as being against the founder's principles.
