They should be able to use hospitalization data to extrapolate, no?
The overwhelming majority of Covid cases are extremely mild. Not to mention the fact that they're still using tests that cannot actually isolate Covid. There's no point in mass testing besides it being a useful tool for corrupt politicians and the media to fearmonger.
It's still helpful data because you can compared week over week. It might be a week or two behind mass testing data but so what. Covid has never overwhelmed hospitals in the states and it certainly won't start doing so now.
