Logic is our pursuit of self betterment, the pursuit of truth. Without truth, we die. I agree that most modern propaganda is aimed at manipulating people's emotions, but that's why logic is so important. However, I also agree with you, even though you didn't say it (merely suggested it), that it's quite difficult to have a logical debate or discussion with someone that's based their argument on emotion. Ironically, I'm pretty sure you're aiming your argument at me, which if you knew me, is hilarious.
