He'd talk about how groups of men could have a heated argument at a business meeting then go play golf in the afternoon as nothing happened.

Men are capable of forming a group ego that goes toward a common goal. Men put their ego in check when they realize it's hurting their groups advancement towards a goal.

Someone adds code reviews to our project. At first everyone acts the same - leaving petty little comments, going on and on about their pet topic, etc. But for men they go through this a few times, have it done to them and get hit with empathy, and they start to realize it's accomplishing nothing towards the end goal and it's hurting feelings that aren't going towards the end goal. Month later they only comment if they have something useful to say.

The one woman on the team, she starts writing longer comments with longer inanity. Then starts looking for any excuse to make the process longer and longer. Of course she gets mad if you leave the kind of comments on her reviews that she leaves on everyone else's. And if you say that this isn't accomplishing anything (it isn't) she has a meltdown.

We got a 2nd girl on the same, she was nicer, she left nicer comments but kinda did the same thing.
