Is this really how Torba thinks...?

I think rather than watching sports being the main reason for a lack of action, having your own government, employers, various family members and a large segment of the population all being against you and willing to tear you down for just questioning the current state of the world is probably more accurate.
Somehow I don't think that if people stop watching sports, that they will suddenly be able to protest or take action without police/other government alphabet gangstas coming at them like a ton of bricks and taking away their freedoms, destroying their livelihoods and taking their children away on trumped up charges.
Having an all chad population won't help much if the government runs you down. If they can run-over grandmas in walkers with a horse without any hesitation imagine how fucked up they will gladly make anyone else who tries to make a real change.
The point is many people distract themselves from how bad things really are by following sports.
Ex.
Coworker who didn't want to get the clot shot. Really anxious about it. Never took any meaningful action (call, volunteer, donate money) to political figures or doctors fighting against it. But plenty of time to follow sportsball, knowing teams and players.
Distractions are very necessary in this day and age. I'd just be happy that people don't harm themselves/end their lives at this point. The terrible twenties are some serious shit. Also the OP from Gab is a little ironic, as going on gab and messaging on alt tech is also technically a distraction that takes time away from other things.
Yeah it is, but at least with Gab you're not going to get banned for sharing truthful statements, like Richard Levine being a man
True. I enjoy gab but sometimes Torba can get worked up about a lot of things.
