It’s the end of western globalization. Russia is already pivoting to India and China as primary trade partners, with Iran and Brazil following suit. Even Saudi Arabia is selling ion alternate currencies now. Europe can either play ball or freeze/starve, Russia will survive either way. In the end, America’s sanctions will mostly just punish Americans. We’ve demonstrated that our monetary system is capricious and arbitrary, a cudgel used to enforce radical progressive ideology on foreign nations who want no part of it. So now everyone in thrall to the petrodollar is looking for the exits.
