I understand that what Tucker Carlson is saying, but he is a bit wrong in most of what he is saying in regards to Ukraine or somewhat defending Russia. Like a broken clock is right twice a day, sometimes a good clock can get something wrong.
What Russia is doing is the same exact thing it has done prior and during WWII and in the cold war. The Finnish know it, all the eastern European countries know it. They have experienced genocide at the hands of Russians in the past. In summary, what Russia is doing now is not really out character for them, and it is very much expected.
I have said in the past, more than a decade ago , that Russia is not a very good guy. Holodomor is the biggest example.

I don't think that's a fair comment. This situation is not as simple as the media makes it out to be. It's many shades of gray rather than black and white.
I made a post as an attempt at explaining that, while we were all panicking over a glorified flu from a woman's laboratory, Ukraine was signing shady deals to try and backdoor into NATO.
We also know Ukraine are hiding weapons under civilian areas in the hope Russia will hit them, because they just arrested someone for sharing that information.
We know Zelensky has banned all opposition parties and now has the "unified media" that answers directly to him like a wannabe Hitler.
There's a lot about Ukraine that doesn't fit in the little narrative that's being pushed.
Russia has done the banning of media and control most of them for years. Ukraine for the most part, banning the other political parties is very understandable as they in war with a country some of those parties liked or tangiall supported. I would even support and understand if America was invaded by China and the Republicans banned the democrats.
Russia has not changed a single bit. Even their tactics, albeit modernized a bit, still reflect their pre wwii mentality. Where they don't value human life. They have little to no rescue, little to no desire to recover their dead or injured, they have also shown no desire to protect civilians for the most part. Their soldiers are all very expendable. Their lives are cheap. You can see on their lack of training, low morale, bad to horrendous supply chain, to low communications(they even had to use people's cellphone to send orders to their soldiers back during Georgia's invasion).
Defending Russia is akin to what I have been saying before, to jump a cliff while the ctrl-left decides not to jump.
The msm is not our friend and we shouldn't trust them, but one should trust FAR Less the media coming from Russia, as almost all of them are government controlled and propaganda. Plus, no protests, you can't even say that this invasion is a war. And any journalist out of line or a person steps out of what the Kremlin says they are jailed and! Or fined.

This is objectively false. Russia has the capability to level every major Ukrainian city in less than a week. They have chosen not to do so.
They did.
