The people organizing this walkout say it’s taking a few different forms: that includes people just staying home from work, calling out sick or working from home. They’ve also asked cast members to put an away message on their email, explaining why they support the walkout.
This is a great way to pretend there is actually massive support and you just can't see it guys trust us. And there is absolutely no way someone will take advantage of this to get some days off work.
Also putting an away message on your email is probably the laziest form of protest I've ever heard of. Like, I've seen some lazy activism but that takes the cake.
What passes for “activism” today is hilarious. Like during the Floyd riots I asked someone what specific law denies the rights of black people and I also pointed out that when you are advocating for a legit cause you generally don’t have media and corporations on your side or you usually don’t get lucrative contracts like Kaepernick.
It's only easy when it's activism for what the system already wants. If you actually want to do activism to change things it would make Normandy look like a cakewalk.
