You think you want mixed sports but trust me you don't. I know how progressives work and it won't go the way you want it to.
First of all, they'll push 50/50 male/female in all team sports. It won't matter if the men are better than the women, they'll whine and complain and get their way. The quality of the sport will come down immensely and you won't be allowed to say anything. In fact, women will start claiming that the "female influence" in the sport has made it better. You favorite sports will start to suck in comparison but no one will remember what the sport used to be like. If you tried to suggest a male-only team would be better, you will be called an incel.
Individual sports seem like they'll be completely immune from women but they won't be. Women will start to suggest certain rules are inherently patriarchal in nature and start to change the rules of individual sports around in a manner that will benefit women. When this still isn't enough, women will start attacking individual sports themselves suggesting women have always been more communal focused and men more individualistic so individual sports is an inherently oppressive activity toward women. They'll lobby for all individual sports to have "teams" where each team must be 1 man and 1 woman. In this fashion, they'll completely eliminate the concept of individual sports.
By doing this completely to all sports, there just won't be enough trannies to go around and a lot of male players will take on the better looking not so good female athletes in order to try and sleep with them.
How do I know this is what will happen? Because it's what happened to the working world when women were allowed in.
Out of all the BS, this one isn't too bad as it affects all teams equally.
I remember they did the same thing for Le Mans. It used to be drivers started outside their cars on the other side of the road and had to sprint across at the start. After a bunch of incidents with people not wearing their safety belts, that practice was rightfully abandoned.
I would support that.
If this is what "progressives" want, mixed then lets go. If there was any referendum on this I would be 100% for it.
A better question is why do we have female esports teams, female math competitions and female chess tournaments?
