True, but the sentiment of being forced to go fight a war for the sake of politics isn't a ton different. To an average Americans that's really what Vietnam and Ukraine both were. Albeit, during the time of Vietnam the USA v.s USSR conflict was a lot further along than any USA vs. Russia thing is today.
