I see little difference between this, and the "hands across America" that was supposed to magically bind people together, or all the mass prayers against crime that were popular a couple generations ago (they tried it in Detroit ....)

In this case, they might just be covering their ass in case Putin decides that witches are too "western" to trust or something - it's a public show of support.

As an aside, I seem to recall Abbie Hoffmann or someone like that hiring a witch to curse the Pentagon back in the Vietnam War days ...
