Some day soon, we're going to need live updating archives to keep up with the numerous non-disclosed edits that go into articles like this. They're treating news publishing like it's a shared Google doc.
One common thing I've noticed is that even when they transparently post updates to a story, with notes of the updates, they will continually update the same URL with the new content, sometimes changing the story entirely. Even for an "evolving story" that feels wrong. The original article disappears. Journalists don't care. There don't seem to be any "technology in journalism" standards or ethics. (assuming there are any well intentioned journalists)
