My lefty friends have started saying the pipeline wasn't even for US use anyway, so it won't lower the price at all.
Yes, I know.
Ukranian and Russian oil aren't even for US use anyways, but they still impacted the cost of filling your tank.
not to mention, setting up new drilling to produce more oil takes large capital investments.
Where does the capital for new drilling and refining come from? Profits. Profits can be used for stock buy-backs, investment in your company, and actual net profits distributed to shareholders via dividends.
We intentionally do not teach economics in schools. We intentionally do not teach how to run a business. We intentionally do not teach mathematics correctly, or logic and reason, or the scientific method. Instead we program people to be useful NPCs.
