A decent amount of Ukrainian refugees try to get to relatives in other European countries. So it does make sense that they cross through other countries and don't stay at the first one.
That said the large majority is hitting Poland & Hungary.

That said I don't mind Ukrainian refugees (compared to another sort of "refugee"). They are most often women & children with the intention to return to their husbands & fathers.
Another thing is that I have slavic friends and they integrate quite well here.
