In all seriousness, the amount of bending over backwards I've seen to justify war crimes is sickening. Really, I think a ton of people just have no ability to put context to important warnings from history. Our ancestors thought it so valuable to document and codify certain rights because they had lived through the downside. Whether it be POW rights in the Geneva Convention or the right to free speech in the US Constitution. Yet all these modern idiots think it's totally cool to toss all of that aside because it's too old for them and disagrees with their agenda.
