Lewis has been a whiner for most of his career. Despite the fact he fell into half his championships at least solely by luck. He's really a normal leftist. Ask for the world, get it, then still want more.
Everyone on the r/formula1 sub insists that he's the GOAT. Meanwhile the only actual competition he had for about 8 years came from Nico Rosberg, his own teammate, and that was because they had the same car. Hell, even last year the win by Verstappen was down to the last lap.
Literally half the grid would be a wdc if they were in a Mercedes during that period.
Sure, he has some skill, but the vast majority of his victories were preceded by sheer luck. That and the fact that he was the FIA's golden boy, so most of the decisions were ruled in his favor (Canada 2019 for example).

I'd go as far as to say notoriously shit modern drivers like Nikita Mazepin and Latifi would have been able to win in the 2020 Mercedes.
Absolutely no competition, the season was unbearably dull.
Eh, idk about Mazepin. But Leclerc in a Mercedes? Ricciardo? Easy 3x WDC.
Remember that the 2020 season was literally a Mercedes-led procession due to Ferrari getting fucked over.
I 100% believe anyone with a valid Superlicence could have done it.
