Just pick up a newspaper. Yeah there's no direct "let's go to war", but you can't really say that, and that's not how propaganda works anymore.
What you'll find is a lot of attention on Ukraine, and a lot of rethoric which logical conclusion is that something should be done, or I sure hope someone somewhere does something.
But of course the washington post or nyt aren't writing these pieces about every conflict in the world. They've picked this one. And they won't let it go. There appears to be some sort of internal messaging saying that this conflict should be escalated. And the question is why. Why is this conflict useful to the cathedral? What is their endgame here? I agree they're not going to go to war against Russia, but they might want to spark a new cold war to justify grabbing new powers, for instance. Ramp up the rethoric to the brink of war, and keep people in the fear that it might happen any day now. And if we're going to war with Russia any day now and Russia backs Trump supporters, and Russia funds the alt-right, and Russia likes the Republicans, and Russia gave money to the truckers, etc. etc. etc. Well then you can imagine how a cold war could be useful in justifying going after your political opposition.
A lot of it is between the lines, which is possibly why a non-native speaker wouldn't pick up on it. And I'm not saying that's the end goal - but this is the kind of conversation people are aiming for when they ask; why is the left egging for war? They're not asking for some autist to repeat how there's not going to be a war!!1!11!!! Yeah, we know that. Calm down.
Also maybe if you ask people instead of telling them they won't percive you as being such a twat.
No one need you for any "egging for war", the war is already here and you aren't involved. It's also not cold.
It's also the biggest war in Europe (EUROPE) since 1945. With good potential to expand into Moldova and Georgia, then perhaps Romania, Lithuania, Estonia, even Poland and Finland and so forth. And you wonder why people pay attention? Really?
They're taking all. Push on from 3 directions on capital. Just took an airport NW of the city (15 minutes drive east and you're entering Kiev). The southern front looks completely collapsed already, they're about to cross the Dnepr west.
I wasn't the person you were talking to.

Russia also supports BLM and such.
Russia will grab eastern Ukraine and consolidate.
There's not going to be a war between the US and Russia.
Unless Russia threatens a NATO country.
Therefore, there's also not going to be a war between Russia and any NATO country. If you're in Poland you can relax.

To keep, or to dismantle the Ukrainian response?
I would think they would want a buffer zone to the EU, and consolidate with only parts of Ukraine.
We'll see I guess.
I still believe that they will not attack NATO, that would start a major war.
