Like with Pepe or the OK symbol these tactics work because their base hates us enough that they are willing to believe anything no matter how ridiculous if it reinforces how terrible we are. They know we are nazis chomping at the bit to put the gays and jews in the ovens anyway so why worry if the reason is a little silly?
