I'm still not sure what the angle is for a BLM supporter; why try to assassinate someone that's sympathetic to your cause?
Here are some facts I feel might help shed some light on it:
The previous mayor has reached his term limit. He's been mayor for over 10 years, and whoever becomes next mayor may be in office for a long time as well.
Greenberg looks to be the front runner.
One of Greenberg's opponents is "Shameka Parrish-Wright, Co-chair of the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression and manager of the Louisville Bail Project"
If I had to guess, this guy didn't want a sympathetic mayor installed, he wanted an outright BLM mayor.
